Hawkes Gets GTA IV, You Get Swag!
When we asked if anyone wanted to donate to the “Buy Hawkes the Greatest Game Evar” fund, we didn’t figure we’d get so many responses!
Not only did you make Hawkes cry, but you actually made Edie tear up a bit. Your generosity is overwhelming!
Not only were we able, within a few short hours, to buy Hawkes a copy of GTA IV, we had more than enough.
So, rather than put the extra money in the bank and use it for beer and hookers like most reasonable podcasters, we decided to show the love back to you listeners.
Our local game store didn’t have any extra copies of GTA IV except for the Special Edition. Since, thanks to you, we could afford it, we bought it. Rather than give Hawkes all the extra swag that comes with this collector’s pack, we unboxed it and decided to give everything but the game away to those who donated to the cause.
It only makes sense.
Included in the game were:

- A lovely metal lockbox (with keys, of course);
- A super-fashionable Rockstar dufflebag;
- A The Music of Grand Theft Auto IV CD;
- A The Art of Grand Theft Auto IV book;
- And a Rockstar keychain.
We put the names of everyone who sent in a donation and pulled them out of a hat (actually, it was a mixing bowl) to give away the swag from the Special Edition.
And the winners?
- The keychain: Nicholas Sylvan
- The CD: Edvart Johansen
- The book: Steve O’Rourke
- The dufflebag: Michael Collins
- The lockbox: Thrillhouse 17

For everyone else who sent us love? I have taken it upon myself to give you a small token of our love. Because you’re so sweet, we’ll be sending you a little something sweet.
Thank you again for your support of our podcast and of Hawkes. You are amazing.

I bought the special edition, so I’d not mind trading the keychain for something sweet. Swiss if possible.
