It’s been a wild and crazy week at GameHounds Central.
First, Hawkes’ father went into the hospital late last week for heart bypass surgery. Everything is great, but as this is written — a mere three hours before recording time — Hawkes is driving back from Pensylvania to Boston, so he’s going to miss recording time.
In addition, Edie is eye-deep in preparation for Point Richmond’s annual citywide garage sale on Monday, the main method of decluttering her life and lessening the load on her packrat tendencies.
So, with so much going on with your intrepid hosts’ lives, and with so little gaming news because of the long Memorial Day weekend, GameHounds Episode 18 won’t record this week.
Instead, Hawkes will partake of the GameHounds Humpdate on Wednesday. Since we’ll be cramming in so much, it will be an extended Humpdate.
It also gives you more time to enter the contest for the Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition lockbox. Send your deepest “confession” to GameHounds@gmail.com, subject line: GTA Confession.
You’ll also have more time to score yourself an Assault Heroes 2 hat and/or gamecode. Send your suggestions for the next Assault Heroes game to GameHounds@gmail.com, subject line: Assault Heroes 2.
To tide you over, Edie is hosting another GTA IV Margarita Monday Multiplayer night on Memorial Day. Invites go out at 6 p.m. Pacific/9 p.m. Eastern. Play should last a couple of hours, or until everyone gets too drunk/tired.
Have a happy holiday and don’t let the burgers burn on the grill!
Bringing you the latest in news, GameHounds delivers an adult perspective on the video game business and culture.
This podcast is explicit and is intended for adults ages 18 and older.

Daaaaamn, what an eventful weekend! Well, Hawkes, I hope your pops stays healthy and enjoys many more years with your family!
And Edie, if you have any cool gaming stuff you want to get off of your hands, you should give it out as a prize on the show? Maybe?
