That’s the trouble with taking personal days. It’s kind of addictive.
Actually, here’s the deal. Planning and pulling off a Humpdate with a new co-host every week takes a lot of advance planning and a lot of extra support work — since there’s no Simon DI to sluff off the research to.
Last week, we had Fable 2. And now this week we have Fallout 3. These are two games that, in order to have something substantive to say about them, must be played a good long time.
So when monster, open-world titles come out, either listeners get a mid-week show or they get discussion of said monster title. Not both.
I made the decision for you, and I was selfish about it. I want to play the damn game, and honestly, I love you all very much, but nobody is going to stand in my way for this game. I mean, seriously, I’ve been waiting nearly three years for it.
So there you go. You know where you stand with me — at the moment, directly behind Fallout 3. I think you’d agree with me.
Next you’ll hear from me: GameHounds Episode 40.

Haha, nah Edie, it’s fine, I’m sure no one will care too much. Fallout 3, so, is it good?

Without wrecking my GameHounds review of it: Yeah, it’s pretty good. But like Fable2, it has some issues I’m not crazy about. I’m up to level 4, but I’m taking it slow and savoring it.

As I said in my twitter, I think we should lock Bioware, Bethesda, and Lionhead in a room until they agree to make the perfect RPG.
That being said, if I had a magic wand, if Fallout 3 had Mass Effect’s conversation system, I’d be in heaven!
Still having a lot of fun regardless!
