Still baffled by your PS3 value conundrum, Edie. It’s $100 more, and doesn’t come with an HD cable ($5) or a headset (maybe $10 if you don’t already have a USB or Bluetooth headset lying around–I’d think most do). So, you’ve gotta drop fifteen additional clams.
On the other hand, it does include Wi-fi, which costs you $100 on the 360, a cable to charge your controller, which doesn’t come with a 360 (you could buy a $20 play-and-charge, or use AA batteries), and a Blu-Ray drive, which you can’t get on the 360. You also don’t have to pay $50 a year to pay games online.
I see your positive PC gaming points for gaming close to your monitor. The answer from Comm. Tim was that it is a bigger immersion than using a console controller on the couch.
I say not really – I mean that is the typical way of gaming on a console. Chillen on the couch with a few friends playing madden is certainly the way of doing this.
Ok – now for my point of gaming perspective. I use a 26″ lcd tv on a black multi level desk. I can sit on the couch, but I can also ” pull my leather office chair and plomp myself right in frot of my tv and have the surround sound perfectly synced to my position.
It really is a great way to play a console because you can get as close as you want to the tv without getting eye strain. All my consoles are on levels, and since the gamecube is so small – i can still hide that lil guy behind my tv’s upper level for some wavebird action.
If you don’t understand my description, I can post a pic on the GH forums. Great show – btw im still in the middle of enjoying the humpdate.

I don’t want politics on my console. Keep shoving politics into my console, and I’ll switch to one that doesn’t, or give up console gaming entirely.
Yes, I’m serious.
