GameHounds Episode 76: Blaz Blue-ya!

In: Podcasts by Edie Sellers

microphoneIf Al Pacino played video games, that’s what he’d say about this week’s GameHounds episode.

Why? Because on this episode, in addition to the regular industry and news coverage, Edie Sellers and Commander Tim chat up Mike Manzanaras of Aksys Games, producer of Blaz Blue: Calamity Trigger for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Bit.Trip.Beat and Bit.Trip.Core, and a host of other goodness. Check out their interview, stay for the great commentary. Topics include:

Great show, as usual. I really liked the interview with Mike. I am now going to pick up Blaze Blue for sure.
Oh Edie! Not having played any of the Super Mario Bros. games is not just like being a film critic and not having watched Godfather. It’s like you haven’t watched Casablanca, Godfather 1 & 2, Jaws, Star Wars, and ET.
Take your time and go back to these wonderful games. They’re well worth the effort. You won’t be sorry.

Great show guys :D

@R. Castro. I don`t think it is nessesary to have played those games to have a understanding of games. Games have changed a lot since the first Super Mario Bross. games. The same about movies really. But then again i understand that it is nice to have seen/played the classics, so you can compare the new and old.

Edie: If you are ever to play the old Super Mario Bros games, try getting them for the SNES. Super Mario All-stars was a collection of the super mario bros games 1 -3 that was remade for the SNES. Only problem now is that Nintendo wont release it for Virtual Console since they are selling the original NES games there.

RE: Not having played SMB

Know your roots, or be a poser.

That’s all I’ve got to say.

Speaking of knowing your roots, Edie, if you send me a snail mail address I will send you a copy of Super MArio Deluxe for GameBoy I found.
