I think you are wrong on the Courtney v Gh5 issue, the problem is that the Kurt avatar can be used in other peoples songs, not that he is in the game as you all seem to think. No one is trying to get the Nirvana stuff removed from the game they just want the avatar to be locked so that it can only be used on Teen Spirit and Lithium.

I do not see how this can be all set up as a publicity stunt because GH5 is expected to outsell The Beatles Rockband anyway (in the uk Gh5 has gone straight in at number one, Beatles in at number 4 despite the Beatles game having a couple of days more on sale).

Also what kink of publicity have Activision got from this? They are refusing to go along with the wishes of a widow and the surviving band members because they think legally they are in the right. This is bad publicity especially when you compare it to the beautiful work that Harmonix have done on The Beatles Rockband, this could cause other bands to side with Rockband for all future games, why go to Guitar Hero where they will do what they want with your image if they think it will make them money.

Rest of the show was cool, shame hawkes had to leave before the end.

Edie, I think you called it on the GH5 Cobain thingy. I thought it was a little weird to see Ozzy sing others songs in World Tour, and he’s still alive. However, if you sign some copyrights away for money, isn’t it your own responsibility to understand the contract? All she had to do was play GHWT. It is doing wonders for sales, but shouldn’t be divide those sales by two since you’re actually buying two GH games?
