“Lost” PAX Kinect Video Found

It happens occasionally that moments of genius are lost.

And it also happens occasionally that moments of genius are intentionally “lost.” Fortunately, it also-also happens occasionally that those “lost” files are found — much to the dismay to the one who “lost” them.

Such is the situation we have here.

Earlier this year at PAX Prime, Chris “FighterAce100″ Salazar and Nick Dinicola got to try out a bit of boxing on Kinect Sports. It was our first time with Kinect, and they were  surprised how much they got into it. Because they really got into it. A lot. Maybe a little too much.

While most of the best parts were actually really lost, one part was “lost” by Chris, who would rather not have this moment be memorialized forever on the internet.

Unfortunately for Chris, Nick was able to find a rogue copy. And thus we bring you Nick and Chris playing Kinect. Proving unequivocally that the Kinect is a better controller for spectators than for actual players.

Thus, here it is. While not the the most embarrassing Kinect video you’ll ever see from PAX 2010 (the most hilarious parts were actualy, genuinely lost), it is pretty funny.

Nick’s the one on the left, Chris is the one in glasses.

So, does this make you want a Kinect more or less?

I’ve never wanted a Kinect, so this just discourages me from filming myself doing anything at PAX. ;)
