The first Humpdate of the new decade! Are you excited?
This week, the SportsHounds WillG and the Rumble Pack both give retrospectives on games of the past. Just looking backwards before we start looking forward, right.

It’s Tuesday, and although I had intended to post this at 6 a.m. this morning, the GameHounds web-posting applicatation decided to be a little bitch overnight and spent those hours virtually puking in the virtual bathroom.
And no, I don’t think it’s pregnant. Maybe it ate a bad clam or something.
Anyway, if you weren’t aware, Spore [...]

You’ve probably seen this news already, but a bombshell went off in Japan’s gaming industry today when famed game director Tomonobu Itagaki announced that he’s quitting publisher Tecmo and subsidiary development studio Team Ninja and is suing Tecmo’s president, Yoshimi Yasuda, in Tokyo District Court for 148 million Yen, or approximately $1.42 million US.
Itagaki cites [...]

Fallout 3 Screenshots, We Likey!

In: Daily News by Edie Sellers

2 Jun 2008

It’s a huge title, even if it has managed to send Fallout-series fans into a series of mini-strokes.
At the recent Ubidays, Bethesda debuted a few new screenshots to tantalize those of us who aren’t pissed off that Fallout 3 will be so different from Fallout 1 and 2.

According to a press release, LiveGamer’s service, dubbed Live Gamer Exchange, will “provide the
SOE gaming community within these new games with a trusted way to conduct real-money transactions.”
SOE already allows [...]

14 May 2008

We’ve been pretty busy here at GameHounds HQ, so we haven’t had a chance to do regular news posts as frequently as we’d like.
Rather than bore you with a bunch of news items, which we pretty much cover in the new GameHounds Humpdate podcast (you HAVE listened to it, right?!) we’ll just entertain your grey [...]

Sessler v Thompson… FINISH HIM!!

In: Daily News by Edie Sellers

1 May 2008

No, no new podcast of GameHounds to delight your ears and assault your sensibilties.
However, if you’re dying to hear something weird, pathetic and game-related, feel free to check out a recent National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation segment about Grand Theft Auto IV.
Yeah, we know. NPR. Yawn. But for a brief (and no doubt [...]
