Good news. The regular gang is back in podcasting action.
Our servers are up. Our show is editing properly. Now if only we can get our mouths to do what we want.
What do we mean? Oh, just listen. You’ll hear it.
This week, Edie Sellers and Holy Goalie make their last appearance together before PAX Prime, and they hit the news items of the day, including:

You know Warren Spector, don’t you?
One of the godfathers of gaming? Wrote Deus Ex?
Yeah, that guy.
GameHounds will be meeting with Warren Spector about his latest project, Epic Mickey, and have face-to-face access to the big guy at this year’s PAX prime.
Yeah, we’re pretty excited, too.
So, it occurs to us, we wouldn’t be a community gaming site if we didn’t get the community in on this.
Thus we are throwing this open to you. If you were in front of the venerable Mr. Spector, what question would you ask him? What would you say to him and what topics would you love to get his insight?
Just email them or put them in the comments section of this post. We’ll pick a few good ones from your list of querries and hit Spector with them. Then we’ll get those answers back to you on the podcast and on the website.
It’s nearing that time. The time for PAX in Seattle.
Raise your hands if you are going!
I see thousands of you! Well, Gamehounds community, Edie, Nick and I will be covering PAX just for you guys and gals who won’t be able to get there. We worked extra shifts, traded days with co-workers, and I am even using a sick day to cover this event.
It is Labor Day weekend. after all.
I have heard nothing but great things about whats to come: Who we’re going to meet, the games we’re going to see and play, and the memories to be made. Here we are going to give you a taste of whats to come in the upcoming week.

It’s official. Netflix is now everywhere.
Well, maybe not everywhere, but it is now available on your iPhone and iPod Touch, which allows me to watch Netflix in about every way possible that I can in my house.
First it was on the DVD player, then it was on the computer. Next came my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and most recently on the Nintendo Wii. If I had an iPad, it would also work on that. After much speculation, this free app was finally revealed and now we can all watch our favorite movies and TV shows on a iPhone or iPod Touch.
It’s fairly easy to use, too.

Joystiq is reporting that that the Australia’s official game-rating board, the Office of Film and Literature Classification, has rated Dragon Age: Orgins – Ultimate Edition — even though such a game has yet to be announced by Electronic Arts.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of an ultimate edition of BioWare’s acclaimed fantasy epic. GameStop had a listing for it up a few weeks ago for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, with a release date of October 12 (via Joystiq), though the listings are all gone now.
While nearly all details are still unknown about this special edition, it seems likely that it will come with all the DLC packed in. Hopefully that includes Awakenings and the recently announced final piece of DLC, Witch Hunt. Witch Hunt will reportedly show what happened to Morrigan after the events of Origins.
Considering how much content BioWare has released for this game, if the ultimate edition comes with even half the DLC, you’re likely to still be playing Origins by the time Dragon Age 2 comes out.
I hope you like your fantasy with a healthy dose of blood.

In the past few years, the price of real gold has trended higher, and today Microsoft announced that their virtual version, aka Xbox Live Gold membership, is joining that trend on November 1, with price increases for all memberships in the United States and bumps in other plans for Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
No price increase is going to go over well with the general populace, but I think this is going to go over poorly for a number of reasons.

This morning the Internet exploded with a frugal-driven fury.
That’s when Microsoft’s Major Nelson announced that the subscription price for Xbox Live will increase across the board starting November 1. A year’s subscription will go from $49.99 to $59.99, a three month subscription will go from $19.99 to $24.99, and a one month subscription will go from $7.99 to $9.99.

Ahh, weekend. Who doesn’t love the weekend.
Crazy people, that’s who!
And who loves weekends most? Arguably, gamers. This is the precious hour when we can put some serious time into games.
So, what are you going to play this weekend? Any title that has you thinking, “The sooner I mow the lawn, take in the dry cleaning, and clean up the kitchen, the sooner I can relax and do some major game time.”?
And what games do you suggest that someone who doesn’t have a good idea what to play?
Bringing you the latest in news, GameHounds delivers an adult perspective on the video game business and culture.
This podcast is explicit and is intended for adults ages 18 and older.
