You are going to need Colonel Sanders and General Gau to help you battle these chickens, as what was supposed to be a relaxing day on the farm turns into an all out war thanks to City Interactive and their shooter game called Chicken Riot.
You will fight wave after wave of chickens coming at you from the ground and the air as you move from the farm to the graveyard to thwart their attempt to overtake you in this first-person shooter. These chickens throw eggs at you and will charge at you to reduce your health. But you do have a trusty gun at your side, and that allows you to shoot the chickens and their projectile eggs, giving your “fingers” a workout.

Apparently 60 percent of gamers prefer physical media to digital downloads. I used to be like that, I used swear that discs were the only way to go, that nothing beat actually holding something in your hand. But over the past couple years the Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Steam have done a lot to change to my mind. I’m not completely convinced though.

On June 30, Infinite Interactive released Puzzle Quest 2, a follow up to the highly addictive Puzzle Quest on the Xbox Live Arcade.
Coming in at a hefty 1,200 Microsoft Points, or $15, PQ2 plays very similar to PQ, but with a couple of small changes. Like PQ, you point to where you want your character to go using an overhead view and the character walks to that point. In PQ2, however, you are a little closer to the game play compared to the really high overhead view of PQ, so the detail is much better.

There aren’t many perfect video games. Okay, there really is no such animal, but sometimes a game gets as close to perfect as possible. It’s ironic that Red Dead Redemption was one of the only games I did not stand in line to see at PAX East, and it turns out to be the best and most enthralling game that I’ve played in years. Even better than the original Left 4 Dead, which was Holy Goalie’s most addicting Xbox 360 game to date.
RDR did all the little things that push a game from good to great, from regular chips to Pringles, from “ooh” to “ahh.” But though I really love this game, I give it a 9.7, with three simple things costing it a perfect HG rating.

It’s that time of year, kids. The Post-E3-yes-we-said-it-was-coming-by-year-end-but-we-want-to-improve-it season.
Last week, it was Ubisoft’s Driver: San Francisco that got pushed to next year. Today, Atomic Games announced that CIA–based FPS Breach would also not be seen in a year ending in zero.
You remember Breach? That’s the little Xbox Live Arcade title that almost got an unoffical extra-early release by a fanboy with a flash drive on the PAX East show floor? Well it looks like he and the rest of us will be waiting until January to get our hands on a copy.
Details after the jump…

It seems kind of weird to be introducing myself to so many of you. I mean, I am the founder of the GameHounds site and have been the host of the GameHounds for nigh on two years. But then, as I take on yet another job at GameHounds — editor and contributor — it occurs to me that I never formally introduced myself in the first place, so it’s a bit overdue. And if you’re new here, well then, that’s just one more reason that I think a bit of meet-and-greet is in order.
My name is Edie Sellers, and I am an alcoholic. I love long walks on the beach and men who make me laugh. My dislikes are fake people, lima beans and jerks who teabag my corpse in Modern Warfare.

Oh yeah, let’s get excited! Kinect is coming out for the Xbox 360 in the coming fall, but how excited should we really be?
Ever since I saw the previews of “Project Natal,” I knew for certain that I had to have that addition to my 360, but now, after seeing the release games, I’m not so certain.
Kinect promises to revolutionize the 360 platform by allowing the user to play games without using a traditional controller. Wait, what?! Yeah, that sounds so awesome to think that you can play a game purely off a motion sensor knowing where your body parts are!
Let’s think about that for a minute. Sure, Kinect has awesome potential for sports games like tennis, bowling, ping pong and the like, but what about other games. Surely you can’t put all that money into making this product and its limits are what I would like to call “kiddy games.” Yes I said it: Kiddy games!

I’ve been playing games since the original Nintendo Gameboy and upgraded from there. I’ve played from a original Atari all the way to the current Xbox 360.
In college I was part of a squad that was undefeated playing Halo: Combat Evolved and that was the beginning of my complete addiction to video games.
I have a degree in Aviation and Airline Management, and I am a full-time commercial pilot and flight instructor in sunny California. My passion for flying is matched only with my addition to gaming.
When I’m not at the airport teaching students, I’m in the terminal working for a major airline and having a good time. I also like to do outdoor activities like hiking and backpacking when its just too nice to be inside all day. I mostly play FPSes, RPGs and racing-based games, but I am always open-minded about trying new things. I am a team player and I especially enjoy playing team-based games on Xbox Live.
My personality lets me constantly challenge the established “norms,” make others ask questions and challenge their ideals, and think about why they came up with that “conclusion.”
Feel free to jump into a game with me anytime on Xbox Live!
